For this book, we were to take a magazine, pick a random 2.5" x 2.5" square and cut all the way through the magazine. All of the squares that we cut out were out were the images available for this book, no additions or "redos" if our selection was poor. I cut through a mens' magazine so  I happened to get parts of the male figure in many of my photos. The photos felt very eerie because there was not many faces. After recently watching season 1 of "You" on Netflix, I was inspired to create a book around it. I pulled the most notable quotes from season one as my text. I altered the photos to accentuate eyes, ears, and other fitting features (the main character in "You" is a stalker) relating to be watched or eavesdropped on. The font choice was also inspired by the main character, a more  "old soul" that works in a book shop. I specifically choose to use a dropped baseline to accentuate specific words and places text close to the edge of the page on a few spreads because it is not done very often, making the text and page arrangement uncomfortable, just how you may feel if you were being watched.
