This motion graphic project was required to be based on a social movement and to focus on events, issues, or actions you can do to support a cause. I choose to create one about skincare and the harmful ingredients many of them contain. Ingredients such as fragrance, parabens, artificial colors, and other ingredients can cause an array of side effects for some people. This information is still new to some people amd can be overwhelming, so I choose to take a hand-drawn approach and use softer colors to make the topic more approachable. While writing the script and creating the illustrations, I made sure to state the issue, explain it, and offer solutions. Keeping the audience (primarily college students) in mind, I offered multiple ways to find more information and ways to purchase better skin care because the target audience tends to have a smaller budget than others.
